The WABC Purpose Statement
Here at Western Avenue Baptist Church we believe God's purpose for us is summed up best in the Great Commission found in Mathew 28 and paraphrased below:
"We exist to glorify God by equipping the saints to be the visible body of Christ that lovingly communicate the truth concerning Jesus Christ to Connersville, Eastern Indiana, the United States, and around the world."
The WABC Vision Statement
Vision is best defined as the unique role God has for each of His churches. we believe the following statement best describe God's role for Western Avenue Baptist Church.
"We will be a culturally-revelant, authentic community of Christ-followers that: Practice biblical worship, ministers to the whole family, makes and sends out followers of Christ, utilizes our facility and resources as God directs, and makes a difference locally and around the world!"
Western Avenue Core Values
Our core values are summed up in the acronym GREAT.
God centered. We want to be completely focused and centered on God.
Relevant to our culture in the methods we use for proclaiming the gospel.
Excellence will be the only thing we settle for in our service to our King.
Authenticity will fill our every action. We will not fake it.
Together we will work. Church unity is one of our highest values.
We want to be a GREAT Church for the glory of God!
